GB News - New TV Station
|
Anyone else watched it?
Had friends round all day today, created a mini-waterpark for the kids in the garden, so missed much of it.
Just watched for the last hour, bloody hell, what a difference. Miles better than anything we have on our existing channels.
216 and 236 on freeview and freesat. Worth a watch. Andrew Doyle, Neil Oliver are always worth listening to.

Been watching it for a couple of hours since the football finished.
Couple of their segments missed key elements shown elsewhere; Kate saying to the Queen there’s a knife available so they could do a body language thing on Camilla and for some reason missing out the ITV offering folk out but included his mouthing off up till then.
Is Dan Wootton though, one of the guests did call him out as a tabloid editor, so will check out more shows.

If BBC news was a newspaper it would be the Guardian.
If GB News was a newspaper it would be the Sun.
Sky news is probably the Telegraph.
Take your pick.

Sky News is also the Guardian.
C4 News is the Independent.
C5 News is the Beano.
To its credit, ITN is probably the Times.

Watching a 10 minute news bulletin (any channel) is depressing enough. Fuck watching hours of it.

I thought the headline about a Manchester copper criticising virtual signalling will have them all talking down at the bookies today.
Early days but all looked pretty amateur to me.

Andrew Neil is a very good broadcaster and will be much missed on the BBC I take it he left because the new Director General Tim Davie as a government man wouldnt recommission his excellent politics programmes because he called out the PM for being too scared to appear. Its hardly a victory for WOKE for him to decamp to this lot is it?

There is a black woman interviewer on at the moment who is so amateurish it is unbelievable. She has ticked one box I suppose.

Bit of a mixed bag. Brazier was good later in the morning, although as others said he was carrying Mercy Muroki who was out of her depth as a broadcaster. Maybe the intention was for some of his confidence to rub off on her.
Beating both Sky News and BBC News by a margin of 3 to 1 on your opening evening is pretty impressive so clearly and appetite for it, but serious work to do make it more credible and less amateur.
